How To Tie a Scarf

1. One trendy way is known as the keyhole style. To do this, just fold the scarf lengthwise in half and then wrap it around your neck. Create a loop on one side and keep the ends of ton the other end. Now, insert both ends through the loop and let the ends hang down on whichever side you want – front, side, back.  This style of tying works well if you use relatively longer scarves. You can use it for all kinds of fabric so you do it to tie a long winter wool blend or a sheer satin. If you’re wearing a top with an open collar, you can pair it with a dressy scarf tied in an easy square knot that looks like an ascot style knot. Make a knot in the middle of a long silk scarf and position the knot behind the neck, allowing the ends to fall whether on the side or front of your outfit.

2. Silk scarves, which are some of the most popular types of scarves, here are some ideas: For a small, square silk scarf, fold it to make a triangle and then fold again into a band about two inches thick. Position it around the neck and then tie to make a knot. You can adjust the knot so it’s either off to your side or in front.

3. Longer silk scarf, throw it around your neck and adjust the ends to make sure they are even. Next, create a loose knot at the front of your neck and let the ends of the cloth hang freely again either to the front or side.

4. When it’s time to wear warm winter scarves, you also need to know how to tie them properly so you effectively keep yourself warm while looking good at the same time. Here’s an easy and stylish way to wear a long winter scarf: Take the cloth and position its middle around the front of your neck.  The ends would naturally fall down your back. Take the ends, cross them at your nape and wound them around to your front. Keep adjusting the bands until you feel comfortable.

5.  As you probably know, you can also wear this as a hair accessory. A popular trend among young women with long hair is dressing up the plain old ponytail by tying a thin, short scarf around it. When you do this, it’s neater if you place the knot underneath and let the ends of the scarf fall loosely down your nape.  Using this as a headband is probably the most popular way for girls today to accessorize their hair. ??To create a headband, simply fold it lengthwise into a band as wide as you want it to be. Then just place it around the head, tying it in the back underneath your hair.  You can insert the ends to keep them out of a sight to make it neat or allow the ends to be visible if you’re going for a look that’s casual or carefree.
